FAQ General Hair Loss
There are many factors that can cause hair loss, such as medication, stress, or an auto immune condition. The effects can be minor or major, however one element is a common, that whatever the level of hair loss, this is still traumatic for the person experiencing it.
This is the medical name given to hair loss. There are 3 main forms of alopecia: Alopecia areata is when a bald patch may occur anywhere on the head. Alopecia areata totalis is when all of the hair is lost from the scalp. Alopecia areata universalis is when all body hair is lost. There are many other forms of alopecia.
What if my hair is becoming very thin?
Thinning hair could be due to age or an underlying condition. If you are noticing extreme thinning of your hair, you should see your GP. There are two tests that may be performed. The first test checks for anemia, the second is a check of your thyroid gland. If your thyroid is under active then this type of hair loss can occur.
In layman's terms, lupus is an auto immune disease where the immune system fights itself instead of fighting infection. The symptoms of lupus can vary, and as this disease can mimic other conditions it is very hard to diagnose. There are three forms of Lupus. Discoid lupus erythematosus affects the skin and may manifest itself in scarring, skin wastage and photosensitivity. Drug induced lupus can occur after taking medication and is not known to be long term. Systemic lupus erythematosus attacks multiple organs in the body, e.g. skin, hair, kidneys, blood, joints, and heart.

How long will it take for my system to arrive?
If in stock, the unit can be fitted within 48 hours after payment. Specialist units take 5-6 weeks.
What is the additional cost for fitting and styling?
All prices quoted from Belle's Image include fitting and styling of the system.
Our prices are based on hair length and texture. Additional length may add cost to our system. At your consultation you can advise us of the length, colour and texture that you wish. Wavy and curly styles are sometimes more expensive. This price difference is due to the additional work required to make curly styles or to add colours for natural blending.
Can I swim and do my exercise routines in my system?
Your system can be worn like your natural hair. You can engage in all of your normal activities, including swimming and exercising, while wearing your system. You should wait at least 24 hours after application before allowing the hair to become wet.
Full care instructions are given during pre and post application in consultation. Upon first application, a care kit is also given free of charge. Re-attachment is advised every 4-6 weeks to insure that the lifecycle of the system remains in peak condition (charges apply).
If I am not satisfied, can I return the unit?
Due to the personal nature of our services, we adhere to a strict policy. We may, at our discretion, accept a replacement hair system for exchange, however ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
